the golden gown

Remember Golden Books (those of you with bunnies probably still have a few around the house)? You know, poky little puppy, saggy baggy elephant, scuffy the tugboat?… Such memories. Well this brilliant man named Ryan Novelline has literally made a gown of them:

The skirt is comprised entirely of the illustrations from the books sewn together with metallic gold thread, and the bodice is made from the books’ foil spines. Both the bodice and skirt have tape backing for reinforcement.

I so want to go to a ball wearing this dress…
